Concept and Features:

Within levels 63 and 64, housed blue and green tones that were chosen by the client in order to reflect the expansive panoramic views of Sydney Harbour beyond the open plan public area. Arriving in the apartment meant that your eyesight was casted on 3.5m wood panel screen, allowing you to take a deep breath and reset before directing your  attention to the seascape. Naturally, this became a key feature for the design direction of placing emphasis on the outlook allowing us to assure the client that every room will be focused around it, both in form and colour.

Hues inspired by the water below were specified throughout the design on both levels, with a green and white terrazzo draped kitchen, it’s colours being reflected in the outstretched parallel wall and the curved dining wall. The idea of the materials throughout both levels was to be soft yet striking allowing for an intimate and relaxing experience. In contrast, however, the floor plan offers up powerful angles, made evident with a double-storey void above the living space. This allows for expansive volumes highlighted by light and shadows bouncing off the mirror cloaked walls.

Heightening the sense of proportion and scale, ignites a gallery-feeling for the clients, this ‘moment’ then offers a sense of luxury.
