Concept and Features:

It was important to my client that he had layering of light as he did have a young family. This meant we collaborated on making sure we had both task and ambient light sources within all rooms. Zoning the different spaces, especially in the open plan living at the rear of the home, was important, so I started with mapping out the task lighting required for each space, leaving the transitional areas bare. Next was to address the ambient glow my client wanted at night, this would later come from pendants, LED strip and wall lights.

Thoughtfully placed curved walls, bench tops and soft furnishings allowed for me to repeat this organic form within the light fixtures. This is represented in the round, fluted surface mounted downlight's and wall lights, squat shaped pendants, recessed orb wall lights and many others.

All fixtures chosen represented a warm, costal x minimalist aesthetic and allowed for architecture to become the feature of the space.
